Kelly Rama is a journalistic family, child, senior, and event photographer located centrally to the Birmingham, Rochester area.
When I shoot, it is with intention. To capture the moments, the perfect, and the imperfect (which truth be told are often my faves and bring us all to tears in laughter). To give you exactly what you were hoping to get and hopefully surprise you with images you never thought you would love so much 😁. My intention is to tell your story through your images.
Literally and figuratively. My relationship with my clients is important to me and it isn’t unusual to find me hugging all at the beginning and or end of any session! That said, I embrace every session and situation that is gifted to me. Whether it is finding the perfect spot to tell the story of the graduating senior, playing hide and seek with a shy 2 year old, or capturing an emotional hug, hand hold or glance between loved ones. I love to figure out what makes people smile – both young and old (although to be honest I am pretty sure I am just a child stuck in an adults body).
I have found joy behind the lens for well over 3 decades. Moving through many different cameras and lenses, changing over from black and white film to digital and through it all I ultimately find joy. My goal for you is exactly the same when working with me. So often I have clients say “Thank you! That was so much fun!” or “I never thought we would enjoy a photo session so much!”
Settling into the session should come organically, like pieces of a puzzle coming together. Whether it is a couple finding their legs with a newborn, a senior nervous being the sole focal point, or a family falling into step side by side (or all piled together 😁), I will take my time to feel through it all with you and lead you along the way. My style is fun, playful, emotional, and – organic.
